Job Description

We are searching for a Loan Documentation Officer to support the processing and closing of commercial loans.

Responsibilities:

• Support the processing and preparation of commercial loan files for closing, funding, and post-closing requirements.
• Create new loan folders and order all reports and required forms to close and fund loans.
• Review entity documentation, purchase sale agreements, title commitments, and Prelims.
• Assist loan officers, loan support staff, and others in resolving inquiries or issues related to loan servicing.
• Handle customer transactions, problems, or inquiries.
• Deliver exceptional customer service throughout each step of the process.
• Prepare reports for senior management, and resolve complex customer transactions, problems, or inquiries.
• Ensure compliance with policies, processes, and procedures, and applicable state and federal banking regulations.
• Develop and maintain a strong knowledge of banking laws and Small Business Administration (SBA) regulations.
  

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a four-year college or university, OR a minimum of five years of banking experience, OR the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Knowledge of title policies and loan regulations, such as RESPA, HMDA, and other lending policies.
• Experience with branch operations procedures, bank products and services, and the ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, and technical procedures.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Intermediate proficiency with math, including the ability to calculate interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages; balance accounts; and perform basic arithmetic operations.
• Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
