Launched in June 2018, Simple Flying is the leading independent voice for aviation news and insight. Our goal is to provide a one-stop hub for all the important stories on commercial aviation, sharing the news in a simple, accessible way. We cover all regions and all aspects of commercial aviation, as well as loyalty and private aviation. We’re digital first, and all our content is free to read and access. This is a remote position, and we welcome collaborators from anywhere in the United States of America. 

We are looking to expand our coverage of loyalty and points.

Overview: As a freelance loyalty and points travel writer, you will be responsible for creating engaging and informative content on everything related to airline loyalty and rewards programs. The ideal candidate will have an in-depth understanding of airline loyalty programs, frequent flyer programs, and co-branded airline credit cards. This role involves creating engaging, informative content that helps our readers navigate the complex world of airline points, miles, and credit card rewards.

What We’re Looking For:

• Collaborate with the editorial team to develop new ideas and angles for stories
• Produce high-quality, well-researched, and original content
• Work under tight deadlines and submit tasks on time
• Work with our editors and Editorial Lead to implement feedback efficiently

Skills We’re Looking For :

• Proven experience as an aviation writer, preferably with published work related to loyalty and points.
• Exceptional research skills and the ability to create unique and informative content
• In-depth knowledge of airline loyalty programs, frequent flyer programs, and co-branded airline credit cards.
• Excellent command of the English language and strong writing skills
• Familiarity with SEO and content marketing best practices
