Job Summary: Assists the Mail Services in opening, sorting, prepping and counting claims for imaging into the OCR system and utilizing the OCR scanning/data entry system to make determination of dental procedure codes and processing dental claims.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
1. Sorts, preps, counts and scans claims for imaging.
2. Opens mail manually that cannot run through automated opener.
3. Store scanned batches in locked storage room.
4. Keys data from claims into the claims system when needed.
5. Review reject report and pull any claims rejected.
6. Use P & R Imager to capture Xray films.
7. Meet performance goals for department.
a. Individual and team quality assurance goals.
b. Department turnaround times.
c. Scanner and/or Opex opener goals.
8. Recycle claims on a weekly basis.
9. Print emails and faxes for imaging.
Perform other related assigned duties as necessary to complete the Primary Job Responsibilities as described above.
Minimum Qualifications:
Will accept any suitable combination of education, training or experience. Position requires
a high school diploma or equivalent and one year clerical experience.
Position requires basic experience working with 10-key, word processing and spreadsheet
software. Position requires at least 5,000 Adjusted Keystrokes per Hour and 90%
Keystrokes Accuracy Percentage.
