About the Role
The Company is seeking a Managing Attorney for Family Law to lead and manage its family law practice. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising a team of attorneys and staff, overseeing case strategies from intake to resolution, and representing clients in court hearings, mediation, and negotiations. The role requires a focus on complex divorce, custody, and support cases, with an emphasis on ensuring the highest level of client satisfaction and prompt communication. The Managing Attorney will also be tasked with implementing office policies, procedures, and financial management, including billing and collections, and conducting regular team meetings to discuss case progress and improve office performance. Applicants must have a Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school, be an active member in good standing of the Maryland Bar, and have a minimum of 8 years of family law experience, including 2 years in a managerial role. The ideal candidate will have strong litigation and courtroom experience, excellent client communication and relationship management skills, and be a strategic thinker capable of managing a high caseload efficiently. Proficiency in legal research and case management software is also required.
