In this role, you will manage staff to execute projects related to the design, planning, and cost estimation of a wide range of waterfront and marine infrastructure projects, including water structures, shoreline access systems, and coastal site developments. You bring a strong foundation in marine engineering principles, including expertise in steel and concrete design, fluid mechanics, and coastal infrastructure to support innovative, resilient, and sustainable solutions for our clients and communities. In this role, you’ll manage budgets, assign tasks, prepare contract addendums, and interface daily with clients, contractors, and government reviewers. Position location is flexible – Seattle, Burlington or Whidbey Island. Primary Responsibilities Lead and manage staff to execute projects involving in-water structures, shoreline access systems, and waterfront site developments. Coordinate daily with clients, contractors, and government reviewers to ensure project alignment and compliance. Assign tasks and oversee team workflows to meet project milestones and deliverables. Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure financial accountability. Utilize engineering software, including AutoCAD, Enercalc, Risa 3D, and L-Pile, for analysis and design. Prepare and revise contract addendums to reflect scope changes and client requirements. Conduct site assessments and assist in evaluating environmental and structural challenges related to marine infrastructure. Ensure adherence to industry standards, codes, and best practices in marine engineering projects. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in marine engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field. 5+ year of marine engineering experience. Licensed Professional Engineer. Strong background in steel design, concrete design, and fluid mechanics. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Enercalc, Risa 3D, and/or L-Pile. Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team. Strong leadership, project management, decision‑making, and problem‑solving skills.
