Medical Assistant Instructor to teach in our allied health programs on an
as-needed basis . This is a great opportunity for experienced Medical Assistants looking to share their knowledge in a flexible instructional setting.
What You’ll Do - Lead engaging classroom and/or lab instruction for aspiring Medical Assistants
- Develop lesson plans and adapt curriculum based on student needs and program standards
- Assign and grade homework, quizzes, and hands-on clinical assessments
- Support student learning and foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment
- Maintain student attendance and grade records per school guidelines
- Coordinate with program leadership on class start dates and scheduling
Experience You’ll Need - Minimum 2 years of full-time work experience as a Medical Assistant
- Strong understanding of clinical procedures, EKGs, phlebotomy, and front office tasks
- High School Diploma or GED required ; post-secondary education a plus
- Prior teaching or training experience preferred, but not required
- New York State teaching license (or in-process) preferred for eligibility
- Excellent communication, patience, and organizational skills
Schedule & Pay - Hourly role with flexible scheduling (classes may be day, evening, or weekend depending on enrollment)
- Classes open based on demand — some months may have limited hours, others may be busier
- Pay range: $25–$30/hour , based on subject taught and experience
