Job Description

A growing healthcare company located in San Diego is looking to hire a Medical Billing / Collections Specialist.

• Pay Rate: $22-$23/Hour

Responsibilities:

• AR claims follow up-Commercial, Government, HMO, Medicaid, Medicare Payors, and workers compensation.
• Denials and appeals with all payers.
• Manage account receivable trends to include cash collections and report AR denial trends.
• Conduct research for payor guidelines or appeal steps
• Ability to escalate and promptly resolve claims to applicable state and federal regulations
• Read and understand an EOB
• Good customer service skills

Qualifications: 

• Ideal candidate will have a Medical Billing Certificate
• 3-5 years experience in a previous role
• Must have healthcare experience
• Candidate should be proficient with all the Microsoft Office Suite products including Excel.
