As a field-based medical expert, the MSL supports CSL Behring’s products and therapeutic areas by advancing scientific and collaborative relationships and acting as a conduit for timely translation and communication of knowledge with key members of external healthcare communities and internal stakeholders towards optimized patient outcomes. The MSL function is anchored in educating external and internal stakeholders in the science behind, and safe and appropriate use of our products. The MSL will gather and translate relevant and actionable insights from their external interactions and provide Medical Leaders with information that identifies scientific and educational gaps. The MSL supports the generation of clinical-scientific knowledge and applies subject matter expertise and experience to special projects. This opportunity with our Coagulation & Acquired Bleeding team will entail a focus on the planning and implementation of clinical-scientific knowledge exchange with clinic and hospital-based clinicians treating congenital and acquired bleeding disorders.
1) Acquire and ma i n t a i n a n advanced l e v el of clinical- sc i en t i f i c k no w l ed g e i n the as s i g ned t h e r a p eu t i c a r e a (s ) an d / or d i s ea s e s t a t e ( s) r e l a t ed t o C SL B eh r i ng ’ s p r odu c t s. Maintain a basic level of clinical-scientific knowledge about the broader portfolio of CSL Behring’s products and the diseases they treat.
2) Accurately and compliantly i n t e r p r et and disseminate balanced and factual s c i en t i f i c, clinical, and health economic d a t a . Gather and e v a l u a t e n ew i n f o r m a t i o n as it applies to CSL Behring’s products and areas of therapeutic interest.
3) Identify and engage appropriate regional Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) and Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) in objective-based interactions with which to develop professional relationships and exchange clinical-scientific information relevant to CSL Behring’s products and areas of therapeutic interest.
4) Provide areas of interest and general high-level information regarding CSL Behring’s Investigator Study (IIS) program process in response to unsolicited requests. Monitor and communicate progress for those IISs approved and supported.
5) Gather, translate, and communicate actionable, strategy-aligned insights from scientific, educational, and conference setting interactions
6) Deliver approved educational programs to relevant healthcare audiences (e.g. HCPs, Managed Care Organizations, Specialty Pharmacies, etc.).
7) Attend scientific and medical meetings.
8) Deliver approved educational programs and training to relevant internal functions.

The expected base salary range for this position at hiring is $175K - $205K Please note this salary range reflects the minimum and maximum base pay that CSL expects to pay for this position at the listed location as of the time of this posting. Individual base salary for a successful candidate is determined by qualifications, skill level, experience, competencies and other relevant factors. In addition to base salary, total compensation for this role will also include incentive compensation and may include equity.
