Our client, a biotechnology industry, is seeking a Molecular Research Technician to join their team. As a Molecular Research Technician, you will be part of the BioMonitoring R&D Team supporting innovative food safety projects. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative environment, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Molecular Research Technician

Location: Bellevue, WA

What's the Job?

• Assist scientists with food studies and perform background research.
• Conduct general lab maintenance in a BSL2 lab environment.
• Utilize PCR/QPCR techniques and aseptic methods in experiments.
• Work with food pathogens while adhering to safety protocols.
• Engage in data analysis and contribute to scientific discussions.

What's Needed?

• BA/BS in Life Sciences (e.g., Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or Microbiology) with 1-3 years of lab-based experience.
• Experience working in a team-based BSL2 laboratory environment.
• Ability to lift 15-20 lbs. (food sample enrichments).
• Strong practice in aseptic techniques and microbiological methods.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and good documentation practices.
