We are currently seeking a Networking Engineer to join our team in Remote, București (RO-B), Romania (RO).

Junior Networking Engineer

A Junior Network Engineer is responsible for ensuring the reliability, availability, and performance of an organization’s systems and services. Here are some key responsibilities and requirements for this role:

Overview:

• Respond to and resolve system incidents and outages.
• Conduct root cause analysis to identify and address the underlying causes of system failures.
• Develop and implement automation tools to improve system reliability and reduce manual intervention.
• Work closely with development, operations, and other engineering teams to ensure system reliability.
• Plan for future capacity requirements to ensure systems can handle growth.
• Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans to ensure business continuity.
• Keep up with the latest trends and technologies in system reliability engineering.
• Monitoring availability and taking a holistic view of system health
• Building software and systems to manage platform infrastructure and applications.
• Improving reliability, quality, and time-to-market of software solutions.
• Measuring and optimizing system performance and pushing capabilities forward.
• Providing primary operational support and engineering for large-scale distributed software applications.
• Creating sustainable systems and services through automation and uplifts

Key Responsibilities :

• Assist in the design, implementation, and management of AWS networking solutions, including Virtual Private Cloud (VPC), subnets, route tables, and VPN connections
• Configure and maintain VPC peering, transit gateways, and Direct Connect for hybrid cloud environments
• Assist in the setup and management of security groups, network ACLs, and firewalls to ensure secure network communication within the AWS environment
• Implement AWS security best practices to protect data and applications in transit
• Monitor the performance and health of networking components using AWS CloudWatch, VPC Flow Logs, and other monitoring tools
• Troubleshoot networking issues related to AWS services and work with the senior team to resolve complex problems
• Assist in automating networking tasks using AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or AWS SDKs
• Collaborate with other teams involved in AWS migrations, ensuring networking configurations are optimized for migration and scalability
• Support the networking aspects of application and database migrations to AWS
• Support the setup and testing of network-related disaster recovery processes

Nice to Have:

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate
• AWS Certified Advanced Networking – Specialty
• Any other Network certification (e.g. CompTIA Network+)
• AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner (Foundational level)
