Operations Manager - Injection Molding and TOOLING
Company : Steven Plastics Inc, Hoffman Estates, Illinois

Steven Plastics Inc., an established manufacturing company specializing in tooling and plastic injection molding, is seeking an experienced Operations Manager with strong expertise in quoting, tooling, and managing injection molding projects from concept to production.

Key Responsibilities

• Quoting: Skilled in quoting tooling and injection molding projects, including cost analysis for materials, labor, and secondary operations.
• Customer Management: Pro-Actively lead technical discussions with customers during early project stages, manage expectations, and build strong relationships to drive business growth.
• Technical Analysis: Skilled in translating and interpreting project requirements, CAD designs, and material specs ensuring manufacturability and quality.
• Vendor Management: Pro-actively coordinate communication with external suppliers and manage procurement, tooling, and project timelines.
• Operations Leadership: Daily proactive leadership with operations team focused on problem-solving, product quality and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of experience in quoting and managing injection molding and tooling projects
• In-depth knowledge of injection molding processes , tooling , and plastic materials
• Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar)
• Strong project management and organizational skills ; ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
• Experience with continuous improvement methodologies
• Excellent communication skills (verbal and written);
• Ability to generate new business opportunities

Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $75,000 - $80,000
Bonus: New Business Bonus potential.
