Pharmacist - Utilization Management Review

Your main role will be utilizing your clinical skills to complete utilization management reviews (Prior authorizations, Coverage Exceptions, Quantity Limit exceptions, and more). You will complete these reviews independently amongst a team of your peers and other pharmacy professionals.

Quality and performance are measured by monthly quality and productivity goals.

Skills: Pharmacist, Retail, Clinical, Pharmacy Benefits Management, Pharmacy, Prior Authorization, PharmD, Compounding.

Qualifications/years of experience:

• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or equivalent
• 2+ years experience working in a retail environment
• Current pharmacist license in good standing with the State Board of Pharmacy in the state where the candidate is licensed.

Must Haves:

• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Drive to deliver results orientation.
• A motivated self-starter who does not need constant direction or feedback to drive results.
• Ability to make clinical decisions independently.
• Flexibility to change and resourceful.

Technology Requirements:

• Proficient with learning new computer systems, basic IT trouble shooting and using multiple monitors.
• Word and Excel.
• Ability to type 35+ WPM.

Additional Preferred Requirements:

• Previous PBM or Case/Care Management experience.
• Retail experience (ex: CVS, Walgreens, etc.) highly preferred vs hospital experience.

Job Type & Location:

This is a contract position based out of Austin, TX.

Pay and Benefits:

The pay range for this position is $55.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
