Position Title: Powder Coat Operator
Wage: $18-$20/hour
Shift: 1st
Hours: 5am-3:30pm
QPS Employment Group is hiring a Powder Coat operator for a company in Kansas City, KS. This is an associate to hire role.
Powder Coat Operator Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Work on the paint line with the painter using spray guns to accurately spray the tanks
- Work in the powder coating room spraying and ensuring proper placement of the powder before the tanks go to the oven
- Conduct quality control checks on the tanks to ensure they meet specifications
- Installation of customer labeling on the cylinders
- Complete paperwork for each tank
- Use stamping tools when necessary
- Assist with loading and unloading production parts for efficiency
- Position parts with awareness of product placement to ensure powder coat sprayer has ability to maintain product quality
- Follow established procedures for disposition of rejected or questionable material
- Flexible to move and cross-train to other areas of the line and facility
- Additional duties and responsibilities may be required, based upon business needs, at any time with or without notice
Powder Coat Operator Requirements: - 1 year or more in a manufacturing environment
- Experience in a powder coating environment
- Must speak, read, and write fluent English due to the extreme paperwork involved
- Must have a driver’s license and own vehicle
- Knowledge of hand and power tools
