Job Description

In this role as a Psychiatrist, you will provide direct patient care, including psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and emergency services for individuals struggling with mental health and addiction issues, intellectual disabilities, or situational maladjustment. Key Responsibilities include examining, diagnosing, and creating treatment plans for patients with mental health and/or addiction medicine concerns, providing direct patient care including psychiatric evaluations and medication management, carrying a caseload, participating in emergency services, ensuring comprehensive follow-up care, joining client staffing meetings, attending required meetings and trainings, supporting management needs such as data collection and program evaluation, engaging in public and community behavioral health education, adhering to quality assurance procedures, completing psychiatric evaluations and medication follow-ups timely, participating in on-call rotation, offering medical/psychiatric consultation, collaborating with Nurse Practitioners and other staff, and performing other duties as assigned. Education and qualifications required include a medical degree from an accredited institution, completion of a residency program in psychiatry, board certification or eligibility in psychiatry or child and adolescent psychiatry, valid medical license to practice in the applicable state, successful background check, current driver’s license and auto insurance, approved clinical privileges with Brightli’s Credentialing Department, and no formal disciplinary action by state board(s).
