Summary:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Public/Tax Accountant that has experience with UltraTax software. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of tax regulations and financial accounting principles. This role is essential in ensuring accurate tax reporting and compliance for our clients, while also providing valuable insights into their financial positions. This is for a Direct Hire opportunity in Buda, TX.
Responsibilities:
·Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals and businesses.
·Analyze financial records and ensure accurate documentation and compliance with tax laws.
·Identify potential tax credits, deductions, and adjustments to optimize client returns.
·Analyze financial data to identify tax-saving opportunities and mitigate risks.
·Communicate with internal stakeholders and external agencies regarding tax-related matters.
·Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
Job Qualifications:
·Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, related field and/or equivalent work experience.
·Must have experience with UltraTax
·At least 2-10+ years of experience with Tax Accounting.
·QuickBooks Online and Excel experience.
·Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Hours: 8:00AM - 5:00PM M - F
Salary: $75,000 - $100,000 depending on experience and education
