The Firm specializes in commercial real estate transactions, representing lending institutions, investment funds, small- to medium-size companies, and individuals in all aspects of real estate including financing, buying, selling, leasing and development. We currently have an opening in our

mid-town New York office for a Real Estate Assistant . The Real Estate Assistant (Post-Closing) is an essential element of real estate law, which exposes those responsible to a wide range of procedures attorneys utilize every day. Along with assisting attorneys to meet closing deadlines, Post-Closers are tasked with: Reviewing files after settlement and preparing for delivery to agency or custodian; Filing UCC statements in the appropriate jurisdictions; Working with various lenders and sending them required documents from the closing package; Updating the post closing pipeline with the required timelines; Scanning, copying and production of post closing binders; and Assisting staff with special projects as needed. Qualifications Summary: Minimum Associates Degree or equivalent experience; Strong interest in a career in the legal field; Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite software programs; High attention to detail and follow through; Effective communication skills; Demonstrated ability to work independently overseeing complex situations; and Solid organizational and planning skills. Ability to reliable commutation for 2 weeks training in the Purchase Office (near White Plains, NY in Westchester County.) Note: This position is entry level for someone with 0-2 years part-time or full time experience. Cassin is an EOE and offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
