Listed below are general descriptions of our Med-Surg Units at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center, if scheduled for an interview a Recruiter will talk through available openings.
\nSign on bonuses are available to RN’s with 1 or more years of RN experience
\nLerner Tower 3 is a 30 bed adult telemetry unit serving primarily postop cardiac and thoracic surgery patients. Six of the 30 beds are capable of providing care for medical or surgical stepdown unit care.
\nLerner Tower 5 is a 30 bed unit. Medical management of high-risk cardiac conditions. Stepdown Focus (9 beds): High level, frequent assessment and monitoring currently performed in the CICU such as arterial pressures, swan lines, post TAVR procedures, an d titration of drips.
\nLerner Tower 7 is a 30 bed telemetry unit that specializes in the care of heart and vascular patients. Specifically, our focus is on Vascular Surgery, Electrophysiology and Interventional Cardiology, including care of the TAVR patient population.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
\n· 1 year of RN experience preferred.
\nSpecial Skills & Equipment Knowledge:
\n· Thorough knowledge of nursing process and practice.
\n· Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed medical therapies (i.e.. stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring devices.
\nEducation Requirements:
\n· Minimum of Diploma/Associate’s Degree in nursing from accredited program required.
\nRequired Credentials, Licensure or Certification:
\n· Registered Nurse with current license to practice in the state of Ohio required.
\n· Current BLS Provider Certification, issued by the American Heart Association, or must be obtained during Nursing Orientation.
\n· ALS & PALS may be required based on area’s requirements.
