School Nurse Registered Nurse

Overview:  RN needed Mon - Fri from 8a - 3:30pm. Pediatric experience required with emphasis on diabetic care, tube feedings and seizure management. 

 

 
Compensation: $38/hr.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conducting student hearing and vision screenings 
• Educating students on hygiene and safety practices 
• Dispensing prescription medications to students per physician instructions 
• Verifying vaccination records and maintain state vaccine reports 
• Taking students' temperatures when fever is suspected 
• Administering first aid and CPR 
• Treating minor injuries such as cuts, scrapes, and bruises 
• Contacting parents when students are ill or injured 

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree and active RN License in PA.
• CPR & First Aid Certification
• Knowledge of any state and federal healthcare laws and regulations.
• Demonstrates clinical proficiency, critical thinking skills, good communication, and compassionate.
• Ability to demonstrate a calm, caring demeanor when working with children
