About the Role: Safety Manager

The Safety Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring our operations meet the highest standards of quality assurance (QA) and food protection in the food distribution industry. You will be responsible for:

  • Staying updated on safety regulations and QA requirements.
  • Creating and maintaining a culture of product protection.
  • Conducting driver safety checks and traveling as needed.

What You'll Do:

As a Safety Manager, your essential job functions will include:

  • Leading the BRC annual audit .
  • Facilitating all federal, state, and local inspections of the facility.
  • Managing safety-related programs , including monthly safety committee meetings and safety blitzes.
  • Overseeing the Maintenance and Sanitation team.

What We’re Looking For:

To thrive in this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor's degree .
  • 3-5 years of experience in warehousing, distribution, and safety.
  • Proficiency in computer software for record keeping and communication.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.

Working Conditions:

In this role, you will:

  • Be on your feet—walking, standing, and climbing throughout your shift.
  • Work in various areas of a distribution center, including environments with temperature extremes and exposure to dust and noise.
  • Collaborate closely with other teammates.

Compensation:

Salary Range: $66,000 - $80,000 plus annual bonus potential.
