Nursing degree, active registered nurse (RN) license and minimum 1+ years RN experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time Registered Nurse opportunity is available for the current school year in a K-12 educational setting in Soldotna, AK. This contract position supports student health needs primarily at a central high school, with itinerant duties throughout the Central Peninsula area.

Key qualifications and experience:

• Valid Alaska Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Previous experience in a school nursing role preferred
• Ability to work independently and manage a caseload of students with diverse health needs
• Strong munication and collaboration skills to work with school staff, students, and families
• Flexibility to travel within the Central Peninsula, mainly serving one high school campus

Location:

• Based in Soldotna, Alaska, with primary duties at Kenai Central High School and other schools in the Central Peninsula itinerant coverage area.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Providing prehensive nursing care and health screenings for K-12 students
• Managing chronic conditions, administering medications, and handling emergent situations
• Developing individualized healthcare plans in collaboration with students, parents, and school personnel
• Promoting health education and wellness programs within the school munity
• Maintaining accurate health records in pliance with state regulations
