BASIC FUNCTION: Perform a variety of clerical, record-keeping and student service functions at an assigned school. DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS: KNOWLEDGE OF: Modern office practices, procedures and equipment. Correct English usage, grammar, spelling, punctuation and vocabulary. ABILITY TO: Learn, interpret, apply and explain policies, procedures, rules and regulations. Compare names and numbers rapidly and accurately. Perform clerical work with speed and accuracy. Meet the public effectively. Train student assistants. Operate a variety of office machines. Type at 45 words net per minute from clear copy. Work cooperatively with others. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Any combination equivalent to: high school diploma or equivalent supplemented by course work in typing and office skills and previous clerical experience.

* Typing Certificate for 45 words net per minute from clear copy.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS/CERTIFICATES: ATTACH TO APPLICATION per district standard: current typing certificate (within last 6 months) for 45 NWPM (5 minute test with 5 or less errors). Original typing certificate must be verified. Internet certificates are not acceptable. A practical job skills test may be administered as part of the interview process. If selected for the position, out-of-district applicants must be T.B tested and fingerprinted.
