Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in School Psychology, active School Psychologist license and minimum 1+ years School Psychologist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
A elementary school located in Newark, DE is seeking a skilled and experienced School Psychologist to join its team for the current academic year on a contract basis. This in-person role focuses on delivering essential psychological services that promote student success, emotional health, and academic development.
Position Responsibilities:Perform thorough psychological testing and student evaluations.
Work closely with educators, families, and school leadership to create and support Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
Provide counseling services and respond to crisis situations when necessary.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams through meetings and planning sessions to enhance student outcomes.
Track student progress and modify interventions to meet evolving needs.
Active certification or licensure as a School Psychologist.
Previous experience in a elementary school environment is preferred.
Strong competencies in assessment, counseling, and professional communication.
Ability to collaborate effectively within a team-based, multidisciplinary setting.
