Job Description

We are seeking reliable individuals with active Top Secret (TS) security clearances to serve as on-site escorts for uncleared personnel during construction activities. The primary role is to ensure compliance with security protocols by accompanying and monitoring non-cleared workers, vendors, and visitors in sensitive areas. This position supports an ongoing EPC Service, Inc. project involving infrastructure installation. The escort will help maintain the integrity of sensitive information. This is a temporary or contract-based role aligned with project timelines, with potential for extension based on construction progress.

Location: Seoul, South Korea

EPC Service pays a per diem to cover food, lodging, and commuting. Transportation to and from Seoul is covered as well.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accompany uncleared personnel (e.g., contractors, subcontractors, and delivery staff) at all times while they are onsite in restricted or sensitive areas, ensuring they do not access unauthorized information or materials.
  • Monitor activities to prevent unauthorized photography, data collection, or access to secure zones, in line with security guidelines.
  • Report any security incidents, breaches, or suspicious behavior immediately to the designated security officer.
  • Coordinate with site personnel to schedule escorted access, minimizing disruptions to construction schedules.
  • Maintain daily logs of escorted activities, including entry/exit times, personnel details, and areas accessed.
  • Assist with basic site orientation for uncleared individuals on security protocols.
  • Ensure compliance with project-specific security requirements.

Required Qualifications:

  • Active Top Secret (TS) security clearance, with eligibility for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access if needed.
  • U.S. citizenship.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 1 year of experience in security, escort duties, or related roles in a government or military environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to enforce rules diplomatically.
  • Physical ability to walk and stand for extended periods in an outdoor construction environment.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including potential weekends or evenings, to align with construction phases.
  • Basic understanding of construction site safety and security practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certification as a Construction Surveillance Technician (CST), which would enable additional duties such as monitoring for technical surveillance countermeasures during construction in secure facilities.
  • Prior experience with government projects in overseas locations, particularly in the Republic of Korea.
  • Familiarity with relevant standards for infrastructure security.
  • Bilingual skills in English and Korean for better communication with local vendors or representatives.

Physical Requirements:

Mobility & Stamina

  • Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods (up to 8–12 hours per shift).
  • Must be able to climb stairs and walk long distances inside secure facilities.
  • Must have the ability to respond quickly in the event of a security incident or emergency.

Vision & Hearing

  • Normal or corrected-to-normal vision (eyeglasses or contacts acceptable).
  • Must be able to clearly observe surroundings and individuals under escort.
  • Adequate hearing ability to detect and respond to auditory alarms and communication.

Communication Skills

  • Ability to speak clearly and professionally with personnel, including those being escorted, other security staff, and federal personnel.
  • Must be fluent in English (some contracts may require written communication skills).

Dexterity & Coordination

  • Ability to use radios, phones, keypads, and identification systems effectively.
  • Must be able to write incident reports and log escort activity when required.

Endurance & Alertness

  • Must remain alert and vigilant at all times—this is a non-distraction role.
  • Must be able to maintain focus and situational awareness in secure and sometimes high-pressure environments.

Other Considerations

  • Must be able to lift up to 25–50 lbs occasionally (depending on contract).
  • May be required to work irregular hours, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must pass a drug screening, background check, and maintain a Top Secret (TS) clearance or eligibility.
