GDI Services, Inc. has an opening for a Full-Time unarmed Security Guard (bicycle patrol) position available in North Jersey. Join one of the premier Security Companies in the country!

Pay: $ 16.50 per hour

Monday to Friday, weekends as needed | 3 pm to 11 pm and 11 pm to 6 am

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors, and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security/safety of premises.
• Effectively interact with a variety of persons including clients, visitors, public safety officials, employees, and the general public.
• Presents oneself in a professional manner through appearance and conduct.
• Circulate among visitors, patrons, and employees to preserve order and protect property.
• Guard, patrol, and monitor industrial or commercial premises to prevent safety hazards, theft, violence, or infractions of rules.
• Monitor for irregular or suspicious activity.
• Comply and enforce all company & client's rules, regulations, policies, and procedures, and respond to emergency situations requiring security assistance.
• Escort on foot or by motor vehicle to transport individuals to specified locations or to provide personal protection or to escort persons off customer property.
• Investigate and prepare reports on incidents.
• Completes daily and special reports by recording observations and information.
• Being alert to observe, correct, and report safety and security hazards.
• Responding to alarm signals (fire, medical emergency, inclement weather, safety/security threats, etc.)
• Promoting safety to prevent accidents.
• Comply with all specific post instructions.
• All other duties that are required and/or assigned manager.

Qualifications:

• 21 yrs. old or older
• Must be in possession of a valid S.O.R.A license or NJ Security license (Depending on location of position)
• At least 2 years' experience in security
• CPR and First aid/AED Certify (Company will pay for training)
