Job Description

Under the general direction of the Application Development and Support Manager, an Information Technology (IT) Manager I of the California High-Speed Rail Authority (Authority), the IT Specialist II (Senior IT Salesforce Application Support Specialist) is responsible for the design, configuration, customization, deployment, administration, and maintenance of the Authority's Salesforce platform along with other Commercial off-the Shelf (COTS), Software as a Service (SaaS) applications on an as-needed basis. The incumbent ensures proper definition of requirements, coordination across teams, and seamless integration of Salesforce with other enterprise systems, including SharePoint and custom/COTS applications. The incumbent ensures adequate documentation for ongoing maintenance and support; provides innovative IT solutions; assists with Americans with Disabilities Act compliance; and optimizes application performance. The incumbent is also responsible for providing support on an as-needed basis for a variety of complex IT systems. You will find additional information about the job in the Duty Statement . Working Conditions Part-time telework is available for this position for California residents based on the requirements of the position and may be discussed during the interview process. Hiring interviews may be available virtually, using teleconferencing or video conferencing options. While working on site, the incumbent works in a professional office environment, in a climate-controlled cubicle which may fluctuate in temperature and is under artificial light. Incumbent will be required to use a computer, mouse, and video display terminal and will be required to sit for long periods of time at a computer screen. Employee must be able to focus for long periods of time, multi-task, adapt to changes in priorities and complete tasks or projects with short notice.   • Salesforce experience creating JSON, and UI pages.
  • Experience utilizing Standard Object Query Language (SOQL).
  • Possess Salesforce Developer, Administrator and/or Technical Architect, or other relevant certifications.
  • Experience in configuration, customization, support, and maintenance of COTS/SaaS applications.
  • Experience with AWS WorkSpaces or comparable technologies.
  • Experience using Application Lifecycle Management (ALM) tools such as JIRA, Confluence, and code repository tools like Bitbucket and their integrations.
  • Proficiency and knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically and exercise good judgment in the performance of responsibilities, requiring minimal supervision.
  • Ability to manage multiple high-priority initiatives and work under pressure to meet business needs through innovative solutions, demonstrating a service-oriented, customer relations-sensitive attitude.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with all levels of staff and management; communicate effectively with peers, other technical teams, executives, external partners, vendors, and others.
