JOB SUMMARY

As a key member of the finance team, the Senior, Manager, Finance is responsible for performing financial support functions for the Chief Financial Officer of CHG Group, Inc. Support functions include financial planning and analysis, technical accounting support, audit, tax and M&A activity. The role will involve occasional travel to subsidiaries. .

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Review and analyze business unit results and forecasts
  • Modeling of risks to U.S. group forecast profit and cash
  • Review and challenge business unit budgets and 5-year plans
  • Identify and assist in implementing best practices across U.S. business units
  • Assist with preparation of accounting papers and other financial presentations for management and Board of Directors
  • Ad-hoc support in the modeling of future acquisitions and divestitures
  • Ad-hoc support across the U.S. business units with modeling of bids, tenders and CAPEX proposals
  • Provide support to U.S. business units with technical accounting and operational matters
  • Serve as principal point of contact with Internal Audit Manager at parent company
  • Assist with managing the external audit process for U.S. business units
  • Promote a high standard of ethical behavior and adherence to the Group's core values and promote a culture of honesty and integrity across the company
  • Assures compliance with corporate and local government safety, health and environmental rules, policies and procedures

  • Comply with government and corporate laws, rules, regulations, policies, and procedures
  • Other finance and accounting duties as required


Requirements

EDUCATION
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related business discipline
  • CPA preferred
  • MBA preferred
EXPERIENCE
  • Ten or more years of pertinent experience required with increasing levels of responsibility
  • Five or more years of management accounting experience in the audit discipline preferred
  • Experience in government contracting required
  • Experience performing due diligence in an M&A environment a plus
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment required
  • Experience in consolidation finance in a publicly traded organization
SKILLS and QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must be eligible to obtain and/or maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance commensurate with the level of facility clearance required
  • Must be eligible to possess explosive under the Safe Explosives Act of 2003 (as amended) as required by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) for all employees located in the Downers Grove office
  • Ability to travel up to 30%
  • Excellent data analysis skills with strong technical aptitude
  • Excellent process and documentation skills
  • Capable of independent analysis with strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Confidence in presenting and defending arguments
  • Ability to assess the importance of issues identified and suggest practical solutions
  • Ability to multi-task and deal effectively with tight deadlines
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP Software; Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook
PHYSICAL AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

Lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise moving objects, weighing up to 10 pounds occasionally and/or a negligible amount of weight frequently. Involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Use of computer.
