Senior Software Engineer - Generalist / Rust

Lit Protocol, a decentralized platform for digital keys and private compute, is seeking a talented and tenacious Senior Software Engineer to join our team.

The focus of this role will be on the core Lit Protocol infrastructure, where you will have ownership over the features you implement and be expected to think critically about how they align with the overall product vision and customer needs. Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain core features of the Lit Protocol infrastructure using Rust.
• Collaborate with the team to align feature development with the overall product vision.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that adheres to best practices.
• Contribute to the development of smart contracts and their integration with the Lit Protocol.
• Analyze and optimize system performance, ensuring scalability and reliability.
• Actively participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in the decentralized web space.

Qualifications

• Take ownership and responsibility for features, from conceptualization to implementation, always keeping the end-user in mind.
• Strong proficiency in Rust programming language and a willingness to expand your knowledge.
• Familiarity with blockchain systems and smart contracts.
• Excellent logical thinking skills and ability to build high-assurance systems.
• Proven track record of delivering high-quality code in a timely manner, even in the face of challenges.
• Experience in independently driving projects in a fast-paced environment with a positive attitude.
• Ability to give and receive constructive feedback effectively.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills on both technical and non-technical topics.

Preferred Qualifications

• Located in San Francisco.
• Experience writing smart contracts.
• Knowledge of cryptography and its applications.
