Special Education Teacher – Middle School

Special Education Teacher Position Details
Schedule: Monday through Friday
Type: Full-time, school-based contract (option to renew annually)
Caseload: Middle school students, self-contained or inclusion setting
Location: Onsite at a public school in Beach Park, Illinois
Special Education Teacher Responsibilities
Provide individualized instruction aligned to IEP goals
Modify curriculum and teaching methods based on student needs
Implement positive behavior strategies and classroom management techniques
Collaborate with general education teachers, service providers, and families
Maintain accurate IEP documentation and comply with IDEA and state education regulations
Participate in IEP meetings and student progress reviews
Special Education Teacher Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education (required)
Active or pending Illinois LBS1 teaching license (required)
Previous experience in a school or pediatric setting (preferred)
Authorized to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship available)
New graduates with LBS1 licensure are welcome to apply
