Are you an enthusiastic and compassionate Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) ready to support student communication success? The Edustaff Spotlight Program is seeking dedicated SLPAs to work alongside licensed Speech-Language Pathologists in delivering impactful, school-based therapy services. Help students overcome communication barriers and thrive-academically and socially.
What You'll Do: As an SLPA, you'll be a critical support in helping students reach their communication goals. Your role includes:
- Implementing therapy plans created by a licensed SLP to support students' communication development in both individual and group settings.
- Providing targeted speech and language interventions in areas such as articulation, fluency, expressive and receptive language, voice, and social communication.
- Documenting student performance and progress , maintaining detailed records and data logs as directed by the supervising SLP.
- Assisting with screenings and assessments to identify student needs and inform therapy plans.
- Collaborating with teachers and staff to integrate speech and language strategies into classroom activities and routines.
- Communicating with parents and guardians , as guided by the SLP, to share updates and support strategies.
- Supporting behavior and engagement in therapy sessions by using positive strategies that encourage participation and growth.
- Participating in training and team meetings to stay informed on school-based therapy practices and student needs.
- Maintaining confidentiality and adhering to all school, district, and legal guidelines, including FERPA and IDEA.

Who You Are: - Hold a valid SLPA certification per state requirements
- Have at least an Associate's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or a related field (Bachelor's degree preferred)
- Possess prior experience working with children or students with communication needs (preferred)
- Are organized , dependable, and able to manage multiple caseloads under supervision
- Communicate effectively with students, teachers, staff, and families
- Are knowledgeable about therapy techniques and child development
- Work with compassion, patience, and professionalism in all settings
- Can meet the physical demands of supporting students during therapy sessions
