Job Description

A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to support K-12 students across local school districts in the Baxter Springs, KS area. This contract position spans the next school year and involves working with a diverse student population, including those with Autism and other speech and language needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive speech-language therapy services to K-12 students across multiple school settings
• Assess, develop, and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with educational staff
• Monitor and document student progress regularly
• Participate in team meetings and communicate effectively with educators, parents, and administration
• Adapt therapy approaches to meet a wide range of student needs

Qualifications:

• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology
• Valid SLP School certification
• Experience working with students from kindergarten through 12th grade
• Familiarity with Autism spectrum disorder and related therapy strategies
• Ability to travel to different school locations within the area
• Flexibility to work either in-person or virtually based on directors discretion

• Baxter Springs, Kansas and surrounding districts (exact school sites to be determined)
