Job Description 

CSCI is looking for a statistician with at least 6 years' experience that specializes in finite population sampling for auditing and accounting.

Responsibilities 

• Perform analytical procedures over raw financial data for performance audits.
• Maintain audit workpapers to document data mining, analytics, and sampling procedures completed. 
• Apply applicable sampling methodology to determine detail transactions for substantive procedures.
• Execute population sampling utilizing applicable statistical software applications.
• Assist in statistical detection of potential fraud.

Minimum Requirements 

• Bachelor's Degree in Statistics or related field.
• Minimum (6) years of relevant experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
• All candidates must be U.S. Citizens and be able to pass a Federal background investigation. 
• Ability to obtain a Position of Public Trust.

Preferred Skills 

• Experience in Sampling for Audit Services Engagements.
• Capability to work in a team environment, as well as independently.
• Ability to maintain a positive relationship with customers and other vendors.
• Demonstrated ability to comply with data standards and policies.
• Possess motivation to learn new technologies and methodologies that demonstrate value.
