Tax Manager

We are looking for an experienced Tax Manager with a background in public accounting to join our team in Framingham, Massachusetts. This role requires a proactive individual with excellent communication skills and a meticulous approach to managing tax projects. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment, delivering high-quality client service while overseeing tax research and compliance tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed research on income tax issues and provide accurate solutions.
• Perform tax research related to representation and tax controversy matters.
• Manage and oversee multiple tax projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion.
• Communicate effectively with clients, both in writing and orally, to address their tax needs.
• Resolve general tax inquiries through intermediate-level research and analysis.
• Handle audits, reviews, and compilations with precision and a focus on compliance.
• Prepare corporate tax returns and ensure alignment with regulatory requirements.
• Utilize tax software such as CCH ProSystem Fx and CCH Sales Tax for efficient tax processing.
• Collaborate on entity formation tasks and provide guidance on tax implications.
• Maintain a strong commitment to detail and uphold a high standard of work ethic.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Master/CPA/CPA candidate
• 5+ years experience in public accounting dealing with partnership, trust, and HNW individual returns
• Hands on QuickBooks experience (CCH Pro Systems Axcess Tax Software, Pro Systems FX Engagement and BNA Income Tax Planner)
• Hospitality/Restaurant client experience a big plus
