The Opportunity: Training Coordinator

Job Type : Full-time, Hybrid WFH Schedule

Pay: $72,000- $80,000/ year

We are seeking a Training Coordinator to provide leadership and offer training to our over 200 employees who deliver services through a robust integrated care model. Our team serves thousands of individuals annually through the provision of behavioral health care, recovery services, case management, employment, and housing services using a holistic, coordinated approach .

As Training Coordinator, you will work with senior leadership, management teams, and employees to identify the organization's training needs, develop a curriculum and work collaboratively to deliver those trainings to agency staff throughout the year. Reporting directly to the Director of Quality Assurance and Compliance as a strategic thought partner, the Training Coordinator will utilize deep knowledge of program operations and strategic priorities to drive innovation and training incentives, aiding in the overall health of the organization by ensuring staff across the agency are delivering the highest quality services as well as meeting all federal, state, and licensure training requirements.

The Training Coordinator will be a mobile role, with in person days at our programs throughout Eastern Massachusetts to deliver live training as well as remote days in office for administrative tasks and remote delivery of trainings. During the first 90 days this position will primarily work out of our Outpatient Clinic in Quincy, Ma.


Some of your critical responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and continue to develop training curriculum. Work with VOAMASS programs on implementation and coordination of trainings for new and existing employees.
  • Research and propose new training methods, such as new online resources, community partner training offerings, discussion forums, etc. to aid in the improvement of training programs, staff knowledge and ability and program outcomes.
  • Coordinate organization-wide training programs and employee assessments in collaboration with team members, such as other trainers, instructors, and supervisors
  • Oversee an active training calendar for all new hires and current employees.
  • Maintain records of new hire and quarterly refresher training programs in our current online training program (Relias) to ensure trainings are documented, evaluated, and employees are continuing to increase competency in training areas.
  • Ensure all training courses have competency evaluations, and competency of evidence-based practices on a quarterly basis.
  • Ensure that VOAMASS's integrated behavioral healthcare model is understood, implemented and supported across programs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

The Training Coordinator will bring the following qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a Human Services field preferred, but will consider candidates with a bachelor's degree in related field with three years of experience.
  • Experience in managing training programs, working knowledge of learning management software, content and delivery tools and e-learning platforms.
  • Must have strong communication, interpersonal, and instructional skills with the ability to build and motivate employees.
  • Have reliable transportation through the use of a personal vehicle. Mile reimbursement is included for all travel.
