As a Training Specialist at New Story Schools, you will prepare and mentor new staff to provide high-quality behavioral and academic support to students. You’ll model best practices, coach classroom teams, and ensure all staff are confident and consistent in supporting student needs.

What You’ll Need

• High school diploma or equivalent

• At least one year of experience training or mentoring staff in education or human services

• Direct experience supporting students with behavioral or learning differences

• Strong communication, presentation, and coaching skills

• Knowledge of positive behavior supports and nonviolent crisis intervention techniques

What You’ll Do

• Train staff to implement IEPs, behavioral supports, and classroom routines

• Model effective behavior management and de-escalation techniques

• Support staff in applying instructional and behavioral strategies

• Collaborate with school leadership to identify training needs and improve practices

• Provide ongoing mentorship to ensure consistent, high-quality student support
