As a Training Specialist at New Story Schools, you will prepare and mentor new staff to provide high-quality behavioral and academic support to students. You’ll model best practices, coach classroom teams, and ensure all staff are confident and consistent in supporting student needs.
What You’ll Need
High school diploma or equivalent
At least one year of experience training or mentoring staff in education or human services
Direct experience supporting students with behavioral or learning differences
Strong communication, presentation, and coaching skills
Knowledge of positive behavior supports and nonviolent crisis intervention techniques
What You’ll Do
Train staff to implement IEPs, behavioral supports, and classroom routines
Model effective behavior management and de-escalation techniques
Support staff in applying instructional and behavioral strategies
Collaborate with school leadership to identify training needs and improve practices
Provide ongoing mentorship to ensure consistent, high-quality student support
