Job Title:

Registered Nurse – PCU (Progressive Care Unit)
Location: 460 W 10th Ave Rm 224, Columbus, OH 43210

Duration: 16 Weeks
Shift: Nights – 3x12 Hours (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)

 

Job Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct nursing care to incarcerated adult patients with various medical needs.
• Care for patients with active or historical oncology diagnoses , undergoing treatment or diagnostic workups.
• Manage medical-surgical patients with conditions such as COPD, sepsis, pneumonia , and post-surgical needs.
• Float to Oncology Med-Surg/PCU units as required.
• Administer medications, monitor cardiac rhythms, manage IVs, and respond to emergencies.
• Utilize EPIC for documentation and Pyxis for medication administration.
• Maintain infection control and follow all safety and isolation precautions.

Required Experience & Skills:

• Minimum Experience: 2 years in acute care setting
• Travel Experience: Not required
• Charting System: Epic (Required)
• Preferred Experience: Oncology, corrections, or PCU

Certifications Required:

• BLS – Basic Life Support
• ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support
• NIHSS – Stroke Scale Certification

Weekly Breakdown:
Weekly Gross: $2,342.00 Per Week
On W2(Taxable): $396.00 Per Week
Stipend(Non-Taxable): $1,946.00 Per Week
