\n\nTravel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.
\n\nOpportunity:
\nRN - Med Surg Orthopedics Tele
\n\nJob Details:
\n• Work 12-hour shifts with every other weekend scheduling requirement
\n• Maintain patient ratios of 1:5 during day shifts and 1:6 during night shifts
\n• Float to similar Med Surg Telemetry units (D1, F2) when needed
\n• Required certifications: RN License, ACLS, BLS
\n• Must have Med/Surg Telemetry skillset including head-to-toe assessments
\n• Orthopedic care knowledge required
\n• IV medication administration including management of Lasix drip, heparin drip, IVP metoprolol, diltiazem, and insulin IV or subQ
\n• Wound care experience including drain management and VACs
\n• NGT/G tube care and parenteral nutrition experience required
\n• Central line management including PICC/HD catheter/midlines
\n• Foley/nephrostomy/suprapubic catheter care
\n• Ostomy care and postoperative patient care
\n• Use equipment including Hoyer lift, automated BP machines, bladder scanner, remote telemetry monitoring, and vein finder
\n• Document using Altera/Allscripts Sunrise system
\n• Participate in daily MDRs on day shift Monday-Friday at 10:30-11:15 AM
\n• Work collaboratively with team for patient care excellence promotion
\n• Dress code requires scrubs and closed toe shoes (no crocs)
\n• Unit features 48 beds with average census of 27 patients
