\n\nJob Description\n

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Outpatient Malignant Hematology Unit. This role will involve providing specialized nursing care to adult patients with hematological conditions, both malignant and benign. The ideal candidate will have experience in hematology/oncology and a strong commitment to patient and family education and support.

\n\nResponsibilities\n

\n
• Perform patient assessments and develop care plans tailored to individual needs.
\n
• Administer medications, including managing IV therapy and accessing ports.
\n
• Conduct phlebotomy and assist with bone marrow biopsies and patient education.
\n
• Triage patient concerns and facilitate scheduling for necessary treatments and follow-ups.
\n
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
\n

\n\nRequired Experience / Certifications / Licensure\n

\n
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a hematology/oncology setting is required; clinic experience is preferred.
\n
• Current BLS certification is mandatory.
\n
• Oncology-related certifications (BMTCN, OCN, or ONS/ONCC) are preferred but not required.
\n
• Experience with Epic charting system is required.
\n
