Job Description

We're looking for a part-time UI/UX designer to support a fast-moving project for one of BetterBasket's key grocery partners. This role will focus on designing adaptable yet user-friendly features for managing promotions on e-commerce and retail stores. These tools will be powered by advanced analytics but must be intuitive enough for everyday use by non-technical store personnel across all locations. Success in this role will directly drive a nationwide rollout across 100+ stores. Who You Are We’re seeking someone who’s comfortable working independently, can move quickly from customer conversations to polished designs in Figma, and brings strong product thinking to the table. You should be comfortable making decisions with limited guidance, and skilled at asking the right questions to influence stakeholders. This role requires balancing cutting-edge technology with the norms of a respected, traditional industry, making thoughtfulness and adaptability are key. What are you working on?

• BetterBasket is developing the first fully integrated pricing solution for grocers, coming from our founders’ experience launching Uber Eats’ global grocery delivery platform. We’re working on everything from pricing algorithms to custom digital price tags in order to create a product to transform the $800bn grocery industry.
• We’re already working with many top 100 international grocers in North America on dynamic pricing and market data, and from day one you’ll be working closely with leaders and subject matter experts at our customers on their top priorities. We are responsible for pricing almost $5billion in grocery items a year across the United States.

• Take full ownership of our products and roadmap
• Collaborate with engineering, business teams, and founders in our downtown SF office
• Work closely with major national retailers from day 1 and see the results of your work
• 20 hours/week for 3 months, with the opportunity to convert to a full-time role
