Cove Haven Resort is searching for a Energetic Security/Van Driver at the Couples Resort located in Lakeville, PA. The ideal candidate will demonstrate to have a commitment to service, and have at least 6 months to a years of Van Driving Experience. The ideal candidate will put pride in their work, be reliable, and be friendly and professional at all times.

Due to the cyclical nature of the hospitality industry, employees may be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the hotel.

Principal Responsibilities:

Transport guests in a prompt, friendly and courteous manner using safe driving practices.

Essential Functions:

• Comprehends and abides by all traffic regulations while transporting customers to and from the airport terminal or other designated site.
• Lifts luggage, packages and boxes from cars, buses, vans and carts, placing items on the ground, onto baggage carts, conveyors or other vehicles.
• Completes guestroom specialty arrangements and staging as directed.
• Listens, understands and responds immediately to customer and employee inquiries and requests for assistance. Greets customers with a friendly and sincere welcome.
• Remains calm and alert especially during emergencies or heavy hotel activity and handles complications from driving in the local community.
• Clearly communicates the features, and services of the hotel facilities.

Supportive Functions:

In addition to the performance of the essential functions, this position maybe required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.

• Maintains an alert and attentive demeanor.
• Maintains cleanliness of the hotel van by cleaning and washing it when appropriate.
• Takes van for periodic servicing and fueling as required.
• Other duties as assigned when necessary.

Requirements:

Education

High School graduate or equivalent required.

Experience

Prior driver, hospitality, bell person or door person experience preferred. Previous guest service experience required.

Licenses or Certificates

Valid driver’s license issued by the state in which the hotel is located. Provide evidence of insurability. CPR Certification and/or First Aid Training preferred.

Grooming

All team members must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance (specific standards available).

Other

Applicants with additional language skills preferred.

Must be 21 years of age or older.
