The Residency Program Faculty Physician teaches and mentors psychiatry residents and students, ensuring educational oversight within the Family Health Centers of San Diego. They provide administrative support through curriculum design, program evaluation, clinical supervision, and development of special projects. Additionally, they balance academic responsibilities with direct patient care to maintain clinical proficiency.
Under the supervision and guidance of the Chief Medical Officer the Residency Program Faculty Physician provides teaching and precepting services for the residents and students of the Family Health Centers of San Diego Psychiatry Residency program. In addition, the Faculty Physician will provide administrative support to the Residency program through curriculum design and evaluation, planning, clinical supervision, special projects, and program development.
The Director s time will be split between dedicated program administration, evaluation, teaching, precepting, and scholarship, and providing direct patient care at assigned clinics to maintain clinical skills.
