Job Description

The Activities Assistant plays a vital role in enriching the lives of our residents by helping to plan and carry out a variety of engaging, meaningful, and fun programs. This position promotes socialization, physical activity, and mental stimulation for residents of diverse backgrounds and abilities. The ideal candidate is proactive, creative, and enthusiastic—someone who can think on their feet, take initiative, and bring joy to our community each day.
Assist in planning, organizing, and leading daily activities as outlined on the monthly calendar.
Encourage and motivate residents to participate in social, physical, and cognitive activities.
Adapt programs and approaches to meet the needs and interests of all residents.
Work collaboratively with the Activities Director and other Activity Assistants to ensure a well-rounded program.
Work alongside the activities team to proactively search for new and innovative ways to engage memory care residents.
Assist in decorating for holidays and special events, and help set up and clean up activity spaces.
Build meaningful relationships with residents and their families through compassion, patience, and creativity.
