Job Description
Riverside City College is currently accepting applicants for a Running Back Coach, Defensive Back Coach, Tight End Coach, and Special Teams Coordinator for the 2025 season. Primary duties will include assisting with a position group/unit, opponent film breakdown, recruiting area, player evaluations and other duties assigned by the Head Coach/Coordinator. Candidates with strong communication and computer skills are preferred. Qualifications: (1) Experience competing in intercollegiate athletics or (2) experience working in a high school or collegiate football program. Compensation is a stipend and possibility to teach football classes but does NOT provide any benefits, meals or housing. Responsibilities
Assist the head coach in planning and conducting football practices and games.
Educate student-athletes on techniques, strategies, and rules of the game.
Monitor student-athlete performance and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
Foster teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship among players.
Collaborate with other coaching staff to develop comprehensive training programs.
Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during practices and games.
Organize team meetings and communicate effectively with players and parents.
Participate in community outreach programs to promote the football program.
Experience
Previous coaching experience or participation in football at a competitive level is preferred.
Experience working with students in an educational or athletic setting is highly desirable.
Skills in related activities such as gym training, swimming, climbing, , basketball, or cheerleading are considered a plus.
Certification in childcare or lifeguarding is advantageous but not mandatory.
Strong communication skills and the ability to motivate young athletes are essential.
