IBM Azure Security Engineer in Bethesda, Maryland Introduction Information and Data are some of the most important organizational assets in today's businesses. As a Security Consultant, you will be a key advisor for IBM's clients, analyzing business requirements to design and implement the best security solutions for their needs. You will apply your technical skills to find the balance between enabling and securing the client's organization with the cognitive solutions that are making IBM the fastest growing enterprise security business in the world. Your Role and Responsibilities The Azure Security Engineer will support a large team of infrastructure, security, and application teams during the migration of on-prem and cloud applications to the client Azure Government enclave. The Azure Security Engineer will configure, operate, and maintain Azure cloud native tools. The engineer will provide support for security assessment and authorization/ATO process, security audits, and will operate and maintain Azure security tools for security monitoring, analysis, and reporting. Required Technical and Professional Expertise Experience configuring, deploying, maintaining, and optimizing Azure Sentinel, Defender, and Azure Purview (this includes UEBA, SOAR, EDR). Configure and create custom rules for near real-time alerting in SIEM tool for events. Support log aggregation/centralization, correlation, and alerting of security events and incidents. Support security monitoring and incident response activities. Create security processes and playbooks for the listed Azure security products. Review and analyze audit records for identified unusual activity and provide evidence of review and/or findings. Certified in industry recognized areas such as Azure security certifications, CISSP, CISA, or CISM or equivalent certs. Experience deploying CSPM and Azure Cloud Workload Protection (CWPP) is a plus. Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal security clearance. Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise Experience coordinating across security, IT operations, audit, and development groups to achieve security outcomes. Experience with FedRAMP compliance is preferred.
