As we transform our lounge into a must-visit destination, we’re seeking a Bar Manager who brings creative energy, leadership, and a deep understanding of Wallace’s unique seasonal rhythms.

Position Overview:

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Bar Manager to lead the daily operations of the Brooks Hotel Lounge. The ideal candidate is not only an expert in bar management and alcohol ordering but also has a flair for curating engaging social experiences that drive revenue and build community. You'll play a key role in shaping the atmosphere of the lounge, leading a team of bartenders, and creating memorable moments for both hotel guests and locals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Employee Management: Hire, train, and schedule bar staff; provide ongoing mentorship; ensure a positive and professional work environment.

  • Event & Activity Curation: Develop and execute creative social hour activities, events, and specials tailored to our guests and community (e.g., themed nights, tastings, live music collaborations).

  • Revenue Growth: Implement strategies to increase lounge traffic and sales, including promotions, upselling, and collaborating with hotel guest services.

  • Seasonal Strategy: Adjust operations and offerings in line with Wallace’s seasonal business swings to maximize revenue during peak times and maintain engagement during slower periods.

  • Customer Experience: Maintain a welcoming and high-quality guest experience at all times.

  • Compliance & Safety: Ensure adherence to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding alcohol service, health, and safety.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Bar Manager or Lead Bartender in a similar environment.

  • Strong leadership and team management skills.

  • Creative mindset with a passion for curating unique guest experiences.

  • Solid understanding of bar inventory management and cost control.

  • Knowledge of seasonal business fluctuations in small-town tourism or hospitality.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and event days.

  • Must be 21+ and hold (or be able to obtain) Idaho alcohol service certification.

Preferred But Not Required:

  • Experience with marketing or social media promotions for bar events.

  • Familiarity with Wallace’s local culture and community.

  • Event planning or entertainment booking experience.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive hourly wage + tips.

  • Performance-based bonuses.

  • Employee discounts at Brooks Hotel & Lounge.

  • Opportunities for professional growth as we expand our food & beverage program.
