Overview of the Bookkeeper Role:

As a Bookkeeper with tax prep experience, you will be a vital part of the finance team, managing financial transactions, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring tax compliance. In addition, you will utilize your strong customer service skills to interact with clients and stakeholders. Key responsibilities include:

• Performing daily bookkeeping tasks, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and general ledger management.
• Preparing and filing tax returns, including income tax, sales tax, and other necessary filings.
• Assisting with month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Generating financial reports and statements for internal and external stakeholders.
• Providing exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and resolving issues professionally.
• Collaborating with the finance team to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
• Supporting audits and resolving any discrepancies or issues.

Preferred Qualifications for the Bookkeeper:

• Proven experience as a Bookkeeper with a strong focus on tax preparation and compliance.
• Demonstrated customer service skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• In-depth knowledge of tax laws and regulations, with hands-on experience in preparing and filing various tax returns.
• Exceptional organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred, though relevant experience is highly valued.
