Job Summary:

The CDL truck driver is responsible for delivering materials to the customer's job site. The individual must be able to interact well with fellow associates and customers. Requires knowledge of building materials, loading and unloading procedures, maintaining company equipment (trucks/moffett), filling out preventative maintenance logs, and adhering to safety procedures. Also performs various duties while in the yard, such as keeping assigned areas clean and loading customers. Friendly and courteous driving as well as professional customer service is required. Must have a clean driving record.

Qualifications

1. Education: Basic education which includes the ability to competently read and write.
2. Training and Experience: Two years experience operating a motor vehicle specified by license. Compliance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). Experience with building materials preferred
3. Job Knowledge: Driving skills and building material knowledge is preferred.
4. Physical Demands: Work requires much physical effort; and involves little sitting, standing, walking, and some heavy lifting regularly. Works in a non-air-conditioned environment.
5. License or Certification: Valid Commercial (CDL) driver's license. Must be able to pass a physical and drug screen (DOT where required by FMCSA), clean MVR and insurability for driving
