We are actively seeking Electrical Improvers with prior shipyard experience to support critical ship repair and modernization work in Jacksonville, FL. This is a great opportunity for local talent looking to grow in the marine electrical trade.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of shipboard electrical systems
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings
Run cables, terminate wires, and perform electrical testing under supervision
Ensure work is performed safely and in accordance with NAVSEA and MIL-STD requirements
Support journeymen electricians as needed to meet project timelines
Qualifications:
Minimum 1–2 years of electrical experience in a shipyard environment
Familiarity with shipboard cable runs, terminations, and troubleshooting
Ability to work in confined spaces and elevated areas
Must be able to pass a background check for base access
OSHA 10 or Shipyard Competent Person card is a plus
