Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide oversight and monitoring of risk-based regulatory programs, including but not limited to the following areas: consumer compliance, fair lending, CRA, BSA/AML
  • Develop BSA/AML risk assessments, procedures, and training for emerging regulatory areas
  • Assist with implementing new regulatory requirements
  • Maintain a high level of awareness and knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements and assist in the identification of risk areas
  • Collaborate with lines of business in the first line of defense regarding compliance risks and controls
  • Provide regulatory risk expertise and support to the Director of Regulatory Affairs
  • Assist with preparation for regulatory examinations
  • Be knowledgeable of bank policies and procedures
  • Willingly accept and perform other accountabilities and projects assigned

Experience

  • At least seven (7) years of compliance and BSA/AML related (either bank or regulatory) experience

Skills

  • Able to consistently and independently lead regulatory reviews
  • Demonstrates ability to execute multiple assignments by required deadlines
  • Ability to prioritize assignments; identify obstacles within the scope of the assignment; and proactively initiates appropriate solutions with limited oversight
  • Able to think strategically
  • Extensive ability to read, analyze and interpret government regulations, trade journals and legal documents
  • Strong understanding of products, business, industry and regulatory concept(s)
  • Demonstrates ability to teach/knowledge transfer expertise to others
  • Effective communication skills to cohesively present to multiple levels within the organization
  • Proficient user of the Microsoft Suite of products and ability to adapt to new technology/software

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in the area of finance or business administration or sufficient years of experience.

Other Qualifications

  • Relevant Certification Preferred - Ex. CRCM, ACAMS

Salary range for this role is $57,180 to $79,500 annually depending on experience.
