Compensation : $60.00 - $90.00 per hour (W2 only)

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Front-End Development Engineer to join a leading U.S.-based retail organization known for its innovation in consumer experiences and enterprise solutions. This role focuses on building designer-facing applications that leverage Generative AI (GenAI) to accelerate design processes for owned brands. You will work on cutting-edge systems that connect designers to emerging trend data, enabling rapid exploration and actionable insights.

Job Description

As a Front-End Engineer contractor, you will:

• Develop interactive, user-facing applications using modern frameworks and technologies.
• Build GenAI-powered services to enhance design workflows and trend analysis.
• Collaborate in a highly agile, cross-functional environment.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• 3+ years of relevant industry experience, with hands-on work in modern web technologies such as TypeScript, React.js, and Fastify.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and React.js, leveraging frameworks like Tailwind CSS and GraphQL for building scalable front-end solutions.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and related database integration in full-stack applications.
• Proven ability to build interactive applications, including data visualization or chat interfaces, using React.js and modern UI libraries.
• Familiarity with containerized environments, applying containerization best practices for deployment and scalability.
• Ability to thrive in collaborative Agile teams, contributing to code reviews, sprint planning, and iterative development.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of emerging GenAI frameworks and patterns (e.g., LangChain, LangGraph, Google GenAI) and ability to integrate them into applications.
• Experience building high-performance Node.js APIs using Fastify
• Understanding of Context Engineering, RAG, and Agentic AI, with practical exposure to GenAI concepts.
• Awareness of commercial AI platforms (e.g., Gemini, ChatGPT) and their integration into enterprise solutions.
