About the Role
The Company is in search of a Head of Programme Delivery to take on a pivotal role in leading high-impact strategic initiatives and key infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the successful delivery of large-scale technical programs, ensuring they align with strategic objectives, timelines, and budgets. This leadership position involves engaging with a wide range of stakeholders, from business to senior leadership, to foster strong working relationships and achieve program goals. The Head of Programme Delivery will also be tasked with developing and implementing comprehensive program plans, identifying key milestones, risks, and mitigation strategies, and leading a team of project managers and technical experts to ensure a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence. Applicants for the Head of Programme Delivery role at the company should have a minimum of 8 years' experience in program management at a director level, with a strong background in the transport sector or a related field. Key requirements include demonstrated leadership skills, strategic thinking, excellent communication, and a background in project management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent. Experience in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies is essential, and a relevant third-level qualification in engineering, project management, or a related field is preferred. The role demands a dynamic individual who can provide management direction and leadership in a fast-paced, multi-functional environment, and who is adept at imparting best practice project management standards to the team.
